The important aspect was to strive hard, try and save as many lives as possible by providing a place for Critical Care where the utmost is done for the patient under our policy of Patient First without any kind of bias or discrimination of class/ creed/ social status etc. There was this overwhelming need to bring all superspeciality streams under one roof and make it a complete and composite centre for health care. The prime reason for this venture is to make superspeciality health services available to the masses from Naigaon to Dahanu (District Palghar) as there was this huge lacunae in this region for such a setup. Patients, especially those who were critically ill or needed specialized emergency and intensive medical care had to depend on road transport and traffic conditions to reach such a facility in Mumbai townside which usually took a lot of time and many a times it used to be too late for the patient. Quite a number of times even after reaching the super speciality hospital there used to be no beds available in the ICU and the hapless patient and relatives were left with no option but to go from hospital to hospital in search of an ICU. This was one of the main reasons for setting up this multispeciality hospital.
